while the concept is fairly common, you have made it your own:
the location (corner, dark, ground texture and the weed cropping up), angle, legs splayed from the knees, toes pointed inward, and especialy lack of the face makes this shot.
i could do w/o the cheesy crown. then again, i've seen such a scene more than once in "real" life. so, tell me then, what is cheese? can something be bare raw truth and cheesy?
usually center-framed doesn't work, but here cuz of the contrast it does. way to go against the rule of thirds.
what did you shoot this with? i've never used anything but digital, and before that very simple point and shoot 35mm.
thank you for making me feel. i'm still in love with a woman that embodies the one in this shot, and always will be. you've given me a spark to write about her and try to take some conceptual photos of her. though i would need a model, consarnit. gotta find out how to get someone to model for me, aside from my love.
